Choir

What is Choir? What do we do?

In brief, the Jurong West Primary School Choir aims to bring joy to their audience through their voices.  We started out small with about 30 pupils. Over the years, our family grew and has about 80 members now.

We have the Junior Choir and the Senior Choir. The Junior Choir consists of young budding choristers from Primary 2 and 3, hand-picked by the Choir instructor. The Senior Choir consists of experienced choristers from Primary 4, 5 and 6.

With performance opportunities during school events such as Chinese New Year celebration, Annual Speech Day and National Day celebration, Choir continues to learn and grow in our knowledge and skills to prepare ourselves for the Singapore Youth Festival Arts Presentation (SYF AP). Other opportunities also include choral exchanges with other primary school Choirs and external performances. These experiences have helped us achieved the Certificate of Commendation and Certificate of Accomplishment for the past SYF AP.
