JWPS Hockey’s humble beginnings can be traced back to the year 2003. It began as a CCA meant for overweight students and had only 5 members. It has since grown by leaps and bounds in numbers and in strength.
In JWPS, we hope to nurture our young player to become a good sportsman. Every player will learn basic hockey skills and strategies to equip them for tournaments. They are also taught about the importance of self-discipline and resilience. We want our players to grow into a skillful player who has a mind-set of excellence in all that they do.
Playing hockey also stresses upon a player the importance of team camaraderie. All players are an important part of the team that contributes to its success.
Every year, JWPS takes part in the National Primary Schools Hockey Championship. In 2016, the junior boys team created history by coming in 4th at the Nationals. We hope the future members of JWPS hockey will continue to make waves and create new chapters of history.
