JWPS scouting inculcates discipline, leadership qualities and teamwork attributes through informal education processes at various formative stages of our young members. Committed to the development and education of young people, scouting encourages a holistic physical, mental, spiritual and social development of our youth with a strong emphasis on duty to God, country and helping other people. Packed with fun-filled activities and programmes, Scouts can discover, learn and put into practice essential life skills through serving others and learning by doing.
Scouting helps young people to develop their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual capacities as individuals and as members of society, and thus contribute to the development of a better world.
Membership of the Scout Movement is open to anyone who agrees to adhere to its educational proposal (i.e. its purpose, principles and method); in other words it does not discriminate against anyone because of his or her religion, ethnic origin, social background or gender.
