Jurong West Netballers strive to embody the school’s values; respect, integrity, self-discipline and excellence both in and out of the court. The unwavering passion for the sport sees the team training twice a week, with added intensity during competition periods. To further hone their skills and knowledge of the game, the girls also engage in a variety of friendlies throughout the year. Our Netballers feel a strong sense of belonging to the Netball family and are often seen coming back to their alma mater to encourage their juniors.
Besides serving as a platform for our girls to discover their strengths and weaknesses, it is our hope that the CCA imbues in them essential life-skills and invaluable learning experiences they will fondly recall even as they journey on as an individual. Each year, our P6 netballers were also given the opportunity to go Singapore Sports School for netball carnival and of which some players were selected to join the school after their PSLE.
We are proud to announce that Aqilah Andin – a former JWPS netballer is currently representing Singapore in the National Team. Ms Jean Chia, an ex-national player and former head coach for the U19 Singapore, is also currently teaching in JWPS and coaching the school team players. We have a dedicated team and we believe that in our netball family, no one gets left behind.
